100% remote UK based Business Development role for an experienced sales person to join a thriving corporate finance business . This is one of the most successful tech investment companies in the world and they are expanding rapidly. This is a consultative sales role and will NOT suit anyone who is looking for a fast sales cycle as you will be working within Mergers and Acquisitions and alongside entrepreneurs and business leaders. There will be full training given and a mentor/coaching programme for the successful applicant

Salary : £45,000-£50,000 + OTE ( another approx. £45k or so which will bring earnings in year one to about £90k per annum in year one)

In order to support your success you will be provided with warm leads and your client outreach will also be automated in order to take away the drudgery associated with sales, and leave you to do the personality driven business development and relationship building that is the heart of the business . There will be some travel in this role
ROLE:
You will manage a complex but exciting structured business development process and will be given the training for this role. Your job is to generate new opportunities with M&A for the company across the UK and Europe and to liaise with entrepreneurs and business owners who are potentially looking for additional funding to grow their businesses, or to exit. You will be providing advice and guidance
Reporting to the Head of Mergers & Acquisition you will :
- Conduct industry and competitive research to identify software businesses that meet very clear investment criteria
- Engaged with warm leads that will be provided to you
- Engage with business owners, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, shareholders, and senior executives
- Explain the potential acquisition opportunity
- Guide owners through the company sales process.
Courtesy calling: Develop and grow a deal pipeline through outbound sales efforts
- There will be some travel in this role and you will need to attend trade shows, broker road shows etc
- Develop a deal funnel,
- Use of Salesforce database.
- You will working to agreed targets of only 15-20 appointments per quarter ( commissions are based on NDA’s signed)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 year of Sales or Business development experience (including cold calling) .
- Degree educated
- Fluent English (other languages are an asset )
- An interest in finance and banking or software
- Happy to work 100% remotely
