The role: This is a high-level& strategic appointment of a Sales Director to oversee the establishment and rapid growth of the fleet and commercial vehicles division of a major Auto manufacturer. This is an exceptional job and a key appointment in which you will be responsible for driving the swift growth and productivity of the Sales Team that looks after all commercial vehicles. In this role you will drive the long term business growth opportunities, overseeing market capture, manage teams of Sales Managers supporting then as they develop new new business opportunities across Germany. You will work to strategic corporate performance targets that you have agreed at Board level . This is a fabulous opportunity for the right person who understands the commercial automotive landscape and is looking to step into a fresh challenge
DUTIES: Driving sales revenue growth !
Management of Sales & Business Development teams:
- Actively support the Sales Managers in their role of new customer acquisition
- Target the team on expanding business with existing fleet clients.
- Oversee financing options, and service packages.
Manage some Key Customer Relationships:
- Monitor the profitability of key B2B customers, ensuring your team provides the highest level of after-sales support.
Market Expertise:
- Use your expertise in German commercial vehicle market (e.g., alternative drives like electric vehicle, EURO standards) to plan strategic client acquisitions
- Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback to marketing and product teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous senior level experience in B2B sales within commercial vehicle or general automotive
- Automotive background , especially commercial vehicle types, telematics, and maintenance cycles is a plus.
- German & English.
- Understanding of HGB logistics, toll systems, or e-mobility in the vehicle sector is a bonus.
- Degree educated (ideally. Not essential )
