This is an exciting role for a civil engineer with a background in onsite management of construction projects. You will be managing every aspect of a construction project from dealing with suppliers to budget work and supervising health and safety. Working largely autonomously you must be able to engage with local councils and generate goodwill whilst building works are happening . DUTIES: You will based on site:
Review:
Review the status of the projects to include checking quality and delivery timelines
Directly supervise any construction
Manage the construction related administration
Health & Safety:
Check that sub-contractors and suppliers are compliant with QHSE legislation
Ensuring construction phase health and safety plan is in place ahead of starting work on the site
Budget Management :
Manage all costs related to design changes and any additional onsite costs incurred
Liaise with suppliers and get quotations on materials
Liaise with UK councils:
Be up to date with English contract law and other relevant regulations
Liaise directly with representatives of the local council
Relationship Management
Liaise with suppliers of equipment or manpower
Establish good working relationships and foster goodwill
Use of Chinese
Produce monthly reports in Chinese
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Construction Management and Civil Engineering,
10+ years of relevant work experience in civil or finishing project management on site in UK projects
