Financial Reporting Accountant Mandarin Speaking

My client, a well-established international organisation within the energy sector, is currently looking to hire an Accounting & Financial Reporting professional to join their London-based team. This is a hands-on role covering full-cycle accounting, financial reporting and compliance. You will work closely with both local teams and overseas headquarters to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with group standards.

TITLE: Financial Reporting Accountant

Salary : 40000-50000

Work style: Office based

Language required: Fluent Mandarin

Location: London

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and voucher verification
• Performing GL reconciliation, AR/AP management and bank reconciliations
• Supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in line with local and group standards
• Handling fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and asset register maintenance
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and accounting standards (IFRS / CAS)
• Supporting internal and external audits, including addressing audit findings
• Utilising and improving ERP systems and reporting automation processes
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across finance and business teams

Requirement

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting / financial reporting / audit
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or Chinese GAAP (CAS)
• Experience with full set of accounts and month-end close
• Familiar with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin
