About the Role
We are recruiting a Mandarin-English bilingual Asset & Property Manager on behalf of a London‑based property and investment firm.
This is a multifunctional, professional role combining property asset management, investor relationship management, and office operations. The position requires hands‑on experience managing UK residential properties, including HMO assets, and confidence working with both investors and third‑party agents.
The role is well suited to a proactive, organised, and detail‑focused professional with a strong understanding of UK property regulations and at least three years’ relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
Investor & Client Management
- Act as a key point of contact for investors, communicating clearly and professionally in Mandarin / Cantonese and English
- Prepare and manage investor documentation, including:
- Agreements and bond certificates
- Interest and tax statements
- Portfolio and performance reports
- Maintain accurate investor records and onboarding documentation
- Ensure all processes comply with KYC, AML, and internal compliance requirements
- Deliver a high‑quality, service‑focused investor experience
Property Asset Management
- Manage a portfolio of UK residential properties, including HMO properties
- Supervise and liaise with external letting agents, contractors, and service providers
- Monitor asset performance to maximise rental income and overall returns
- Review budgets, expenses, forecasts, and financial performance reports
- Conduct market analysis to support asset and investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with:
- HMO licensing and local authority requirements
- Health & Safety legislation
- Statutory UK housing regulations
- Coordinate tenant acquisition, referencing, and retention
- Arrange inspections, maintenance works, and remedial actions
Office & Operational Support
- Manage day‑to‑day office administration and coordination
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and handle correspondence
- Maintain filing systems and internal documentation
- Coordinate office equipment and IT support (laptops, printers, access systems)
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Monitor office costs and liaise with external suppliers and service providers
- Act as a central point of contact for internal operational communication
Skills & Experience Required
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in property management, asset management, or property investment
- Strong understanding of UK residential property and HMO regulations
- Fluent Mandarin (or Cantonese) and English, both written and spoken
- Excellent organisational, numerical, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail, particularly in documentation and compliance
- Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across investors, properties, and operations
- Competent with office systems (Excel, reporting tools, property management or CRM systems)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with investment‑led or investor‑owned property portfolios
- Background in regulated environments or compliance‑led property operations
- Experience supporting overseas or Mandarin‑speaking investors
