Banking Operations Officer Mandarin Speaking

My client is a well-established international bank in London that is looking to hire an Operations Officer to support its growing business across treasury and trade finance. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations across treasury, trade finance and corporate banking, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage treasury transactions including interbank loans/deposits, FX, bonds, repo and derivatives (IRS/CCS)
• Handle the full lifecycle of trade finance products (L/Cs, guarantees, documentary collections)
• Support GBP clearing, payments and loan servicing within correspondent banking
• Monitor settlements and perform reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Conduct transaction monitoring, AML and sanctions checks
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with audit and regulatory standards
• Liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve operational issues
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in banking operations (payments, trade finance or treasury)
• Good understanding of UCP600, URDG, ISBP
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (essential)
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• A proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset
