Design and Artwork Program Manager
Program Manager – Design & Artwork
Contract: 9 months – Immediate start
Hybrid working
Day rate: £370.48 – £411.68 per day
Location: London
We’re hiring a highly organised and proactive Program Manager to join the Private Brands team of one of the world’s most customer-centric companies. This global organisation is known for its innovation, pace, and ability to scale with impact. You’ll be joining a dynamic, fast-moving food retail division that focuses on the sourcing and development of high-quality own-brand products for both in-store and online channels.
What you’ll be doing
As the Program Manager overseeing design and artwork, you’ll play a key role in getting new products to market on time and in line with brand standards. You’ll manage the full artwork lifecycle – from briefing external agencies and tracking workback schedules, to ensuring accurate stakeholder feedback and final delivery of creative assets.
You’ll:
- Own and optimise the end-to-end artwork and imaging workflow
- Liaise daily with creative agencies and internal product development teams
- Ensure SLAs, timelines and approvals are met across multiple projects
- Monitor packaging pipelines using internal tools and identify delays or bottlenecks
- Continuously improve and streamline artwork processes – looking at automation, offshoring and tooling
- Champion brand consistency and adherence to guidelines
- Support cross-functional teams to hit First-Time Pass and launch deadlines
- Contribute to postmortems, reviews, and improvement plans
Who we’re looking for
You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment and can keep a cool head under pressure. You enjoy untangling complex workflows, making them leaner and smarter. You’ve got experience managing creative deliverables end-to-end – and probably have a background in artwork, packaging, design ops, or product development.
Key experience required:
- Minimum 3 years managing artwork/design workflows in a fast-paced product or creative environment
- Proven ability to lead projects from brief to delivery
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and agency-side
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using project management tools and driving process improvements
- Resilient, responsive and confident managing competing priorities
- Knowledge of private brand or grocery sector a plus
- A strategic thinker with a pragmatic, get-it-done mindset
