Salary: £130 to £150 per day PAYE (depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Expected duration: 6 months (May extend)
Work Location: Hybrid working 1 days in the office and 4 from home
Office location: London
Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (standard office hours)
About the company
Our client is an international e-commerce business specialising in eye care medical products. They are looking for a French Editor and Proof-reader to support with editing content in French as part of a website migration project. This role will appeal to a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
The role sits within the copy team alongside other copywriters for our other markets.
Role responsibilities
- Translate and optimise from UK copy for the French website
- Conduct appropriate research to ensure copy is optimised
- Monitor and share learnings on market trends
- Review copy, meta data and URLS and proof for any errors (comparing against live web pages)
- Track changes and approval of edits, ready for submission to dev team
- Report on project status to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Educated to degree level
- EU French speaker with excellent communication skills
- Strong English skills (written and verbal)
- Experience editing, proofreading, translation
- Understanding of markets’ specificities and provide copy that fits culture and way of communicating
- Experience of using SEO tools, CMS (Core Media/Magento or similar) – desirable but not essential
- Understanding of French local health industry (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, time management and teamwork skills
