(MEAT) Purchasing Manager
TITLE : (MEAT) Purchasing Manager
Team Purchasing, Supply Chain and Product Management
Contract 6 month contract
Salary Total comp of £62,750 ( made of a base of £55k + £7750 car allowance)
Location: High Wycombe (Hybrid work: 2-3 days in the office. The rest is WFH )
Company: Not for profit organisation. Food and hospitality sector
Purpose: To manage the operational purchasing activities of the Protein Purchasing team
Duties
- Put protein (meat) deals and contracts in place
- Data management
- Liaise with suppliers across dairy farms and food packaging companies
- Provide product information and product change overs
- Ensuring compliance to purchasing process on products , pricing and contract management
- Negotiation and communication of price changes
- Obtain current costs and other information on new suppliers and existing suppliers
- Assist with launching new suppliers
- Management of operational buying activities
- Documenting savings made and delivered to clients
Requirements
- Degree educated
- A background in a food or beverage company,
- Purchasing or supply chain experience
