TITLE: Food Procurement & Menu Project Manager

Contract : 6 months -12 months

Company Food catering business

Salary : Total compensation of Circa £74,000 (comprised of a base salary of circa £60,000 + 10% bonus and £7750 car allowance ) pro rata

Location: Buckinghamshire : ideally hybrid working . Remote working is also considered

Summary of role: You will be responsible for bringing to market new menu product, existing menu product development and any other menu changes. All menu changes should be launched on time. The role involves both food purchasing and project management.

The role You will be bringing to market new food items that are added to the menu and then project-managing the new menu launch across the restaurants

DUTIES This is an exciting and engaging role which is divided into two halves: 50% is new product Purchasing and 50% on Project Management/Rollout

50% new food item sourcing

• Sourcing of new menu items
• Organise sampling sessions
• Providing feedback to the supplier(s)
• Negotiating and agreeing pricing
• Ensuring new menu items are delivered on time, and within budget
• Acting as the main point of contact with food suppliers and the Food Quality Assurance team
• New food supplier onboarding

50% Project management and product rollout

• Documenting rollout of the new menu items
• Identifying, tracking and managing risks to ensure that the project is delivered on time
• Internal reporting
• Ensure delivery schedules work efficiently
• Set up deliveries with distributors.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years Purchasing experience in food/food packaging categories
• Able to work in a flexible, fast paced, small business environment
