Title: Swedish/Danish or Norwegian Assistant Accountant

Salary : Up to £40,000 + financial study support + other excellent benefits

Location: London or Warwick. Hybrid: 2 days office based and 3 home based

Fast growth company with a large client base across Scandinavia and also the DACH region . The practice provides essential business services to overseas companies looking to enter, grow or scale in the UK. The company helps with Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Payroll & also Virtual Offices.

The role combines accounting and business management skills alongside portfolio relationship management . You will be advising up to 15 key clients and the role is very much a consultative one in which you will help to guide clients through UK accounting processes and any legal queries

The role:

• Bookkeeping
• AP and AR for a portfolio of clients
• Advising clients on ways to reduce operational and production costs
• Ensure all Tax issues comply with the law and regulations. Assist with the preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns for PPL and VPL
• Month end reporting . Assist in the preparation of the annual finance statements and liaise with auditors
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for a number of accounts including bank accounts, debtors, fixed assets, prepayments and intercompany
• Bank reconciliations & reconciling the balance sheet accounts
• Set up standing order and manual (including international) payments
• Daily accounts receivable operations
• Working on close customer/write-off accounts liaising with PPO & Legal departments
• Raising legal cost recovery invoices
• Other responsibilities working with the Financial Accounting Team
• Ad-hoc analysis and project work

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
• Fluent English
• Fluent Swedish, Danish or Norwegian
