Purchasing/Buyer – Engineering

This is a lovely PURCHASING role based in Colchester in Essex! The company is a specialist business and acts as a purchasing “hub” for heavy industry and manufacturing clients across the world who are looking for specific components . The business is mega profitable and you will take orders from clients and then source technical ( ENGINEERING) products globally for dispatch. Your role is to source heavy industrial equipment and then liaise with the client , add a ” finders fee” and then liaise with the warehouse who will dispatch it . Nice and straight forward. and a stepping stone-role for someone with previous buying experience gained in a technical environment

TITLE: PURCHASING

SALARY: Up to £35, 000+ OTE + excellent benefits , 25 days holiday and generous performance related bonus

LOCATION : Colchester in Essex ( Free car parking available)

SECTOR : Purchasing hub for international clients within the manufacturing sector

HOURS: 8.30am-5pm ( office based)

Your role is to source heavy industrial equipment and then liaise with the client , add a ” finders fee” and then liaise with the warehouse who will dispatch it .

THE ROLE: You will be supporting the UK and international sales team

• Take inbound enquiries from industrial manufacturing clients based globally looking for a specific piece of heavy industry or essential spare part
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers across Korea, the USA and Europe to source the product
• Negotiate a price and delivery schedule with the supplier
• Add the finder’s fee (or margin) to the product and create a price quotation for the client
• All post sales administration
• Provide an outstanding level of personal customer care at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent English. Other languages are helpful but not essential
• Own transportation (car parking is available)
• Previous experience in purchasing
