Our client is a leading Chinese bank in the City and currently recruiting for a Relationship Manager. The Bank is renowned worldwide for its quality services to customers, and has operated in the UK as a Branch for the last 7 years.
As an Accounts Assistant, your principal role will be to assist the Head/Deputy Head of Department in providing financial analysis, reporting, and strategic guidance. Your support will enable the management/front office departments to make informed decisions and achieve the Branch’s financial objectives by optimising resource allocation, managing costs, and mitigating financial risks.
Title: Mandarin Speaking Accounts Assistant
Location: Central London (4 days onsite and 1 day wfh)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (Depending on experience)
Languages: Mandarin and English
Contract: Permanent
Visa: The successful candidates need to have full UK work eligibility without sponsorship now or in the future.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate in the development and execution of financial plans and budgets
Generate comprehensive reports analysing financial data, monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying noteworthy financial patterns, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement
Assist in financial feasibility studies, investment evaluations, and strategic decision-making process
Provide assistance in fulfilling tax returns and regulatory obligations mandated by the PRA, FCA, BOE, and the Head Office.
Regularly monitor and reconcile FTP calculations
Contribute to risk management by assisting in identifying and evaluating financial risks. Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and accounting standards to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with legal frameworks.
Key Requirements:
Native level Mandarin is essential (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening) with fluent English
Part-qualified accountant with 1-3 years of practical experience in accounting/auditing/financial management in Banking or Financial services industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Power BI is a plus
