Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 (paid on an hourly rate) + Quarterly bonus
Working hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm (37.5 hours per week) (1-hour lunch – provided)
Our client is a leading online e-commerce platform. Our client is looking for a smart and energetic online advertising sales manager to help grow the company’s expanding CPM/display advertising business. The successful candidate must be driven, creative, and resourceful and must enjoy working in a very entrepreneurial environment. The position requires proven sales, communication, organization, management skills as well as a capability for developing and maintaining relationships, and an exceptional understanding of digital media. You will be responsible for hitting monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
We are looking for a good team player, who enjoys developing and presenting an advertising-based, revenue-generating idea/opportunity to a marketing challenge, and who shows highly capability in account management and relationship building. You will need to be creative and able to work in a fast-paced, very changeable marketplace and be driven to meet and exceed revenue targets and take full responsibility for their agency patch. As a good communicator, natural listener, presenter and negotiator, the right candidate will demonstrate ease when dealing with Digital teams, Communications, Planners, trading teams and Marketing Managers or Directors.
The right individual needs to be eager to research and find industry information, developments and market news, and share these with the rest of the team, clients and other areas of the business. You must establish yourself as a knowledgeable representative of the company and marketing of the hotel sector.
*Manage an existing portfolio and strategically grow new business in a number of key markets (ideally Germany, Italy, and Turkey); email, video, and in-market travel are required
*Coordinate efforts with Auction sales channel for display
*Own multi-regional and multi-channel communications plans
*Liaise with internal teams across Product, Advertising Solutions, and Advertising Operations, Sales Planners, and Traffickers for custom & new campaign specific programs
*Works in partnership with the agency team to strategize, collaborate on RFPs and provide client feedback
*Fluent in Italian (Native standard) and English to a high standard
*3-5 years’ experience in selling online advertising / media sales experience – with the majority of that in face-to-face sales meetings with clients (and advertising agencies) – Premium is placed on Travel Industry and traditional media experience with a solid contacts network in the hotel sector
*Recent and successful track record of sales to the travel industry is a bonus; demonstrating autonomy to manage and grow a patch and portfolio; proactive sales approach, examples f multi-market deals
*Experience in client communications on the phone, in groups, as well as with face to face client meetings.
*Experience bundling various types of advertising products (e.g. CPM media, sponsorship, text links, etc.)
*Demonstrated ability to think creatively and sell strategically
*Track record of developing long-term relationships with (and commitments from) clients and agencies
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills
*Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
*Experienced business judgment: Must be positive, persistent and professional
*Educated to a degree level
*The successful candidate must enjoy problem solving and be unafraid of technical solutions.
*Ability to create seamless working relationship with other teams within the business, such as Operations, Trafficking & Planning, Marketing, Partnerships, PR & Events.
